We Are Here … and we are Awake!
Our trip across the Atlantic was relatively easy, thanks to a great experience aboard British Airways. We had been nervous while navigating the airline’s seating oprocedure, but the flight was great. Jocelyn and I even got to watch Horton Hears a Who together, which we enjoyed. The airplane’s system actually downloads movies to each seat, so we watched simultaneously. Jocelyn was a few seconds ahead of me, so I was able to anticipate the funny parts based oin her giggle in the seat across the aisle from me.
After a fairly exhausting day of travel, we arrived in Rome in late-afternoon Thursday, just in time for a short walk around the and dinner. We topped that off with gelato, and promptly fell asleep back at our hotel. Only to awaken at 3:00 am CEST. Oops. Turns out we arrived with our luggage, but our bodies are somewhere over the Atlantic.

The girls woke up at 3:00 am and couldn’t get back to sleep. Anyway, we are awake and trolling the city. It’s kind of quiet this early in the morning … we headed out early to The Pantheon, the Spanish Steps, and the Roman Coliseum — all before noon!
