Kiana’s Mommy & Mali got married on Monday — again! And we were there — again!

We gathered in a much smaller group this time, together at the Santa Clara County Clerk-Recorder’s Wedding Chapel at the Civic Center near downtown San Jose, to celebrate the legal wedding. And afterward, we had lunch at Left Bank in Santana Row.

Felicia kept asking all morning, “Didn’t they already get married?” … and “Why are they getting married again.” We talked about church marriages versus legal marriages.

As Twittered at 11:15 this morning: Karen Cassarella, Dpty Commissioner of Marriages: “I now pronounce you married, under the laws of the State of California”

Funny how four-year-old Felicia totally understands the difference between a church marriage and a civil ceremony, unlike the silly bigots who want to add discrimination into the California Constitution …. I’m just saying …
